All Indian Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) Villupuram MP S Rajendran died in a car accident on the morning of Saturday, 23 February.
The accident took place when Rajendran was on his way to Tindivanam with his driver. His car hit a divider, a senior police official told ANI.
Rajendran injured his head and chest and died on the spot. The injured driver was immediately rushed to the hospital and is being treated currently. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
Rajendran was also a member of the standing committee on chemicals and fertilisers and consultative committee in the ministry of civil aviation.
