1. 35 Killed in Bus Accident in J&K’s Kishtwar, PM Condoles Deaths
At least 35 people were killed and 17 left injured after a mini bus rolled down a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district. While the J&K governor has announced an ex gratia of 5 lakh rupees for the families of the bereaved, PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter to condole the mishap.

2. Injured Vijay Shankar Out of World Cup, Mayank Likely Replacement
Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar has reportedly been ruled out of the ongoing World Cup due to a toe injury and is likely to be replaced by Mayank Agarwal. While the blow at the nets off Jasprit Bumrah did not look very serious to start with, it appears to have aggravated.
Karnataka opener Agarwal, 28, who made his Test debut against Australia last year, has not yet played in the ODI format.
"Vijay got hit on the toe by a Jasprit Bumrah delivery once again. His situation is not great and he won't be able to take part in the tournament. He is going back home," a senior BCCI official told PTI.

4. Mumbai Rains: Trains Working After Delay, 30-Yr-Old Electrocuted
Mumbai woke up to heavy rains on Monday, 1 July morning, with both roads and railway tracks blocked due to waterlogging.
Weather Forecaster Skymet recorded 63mm of rains within a span of 6 hours from 11.30 pm on Sunday to 5.30 am on Monday. However, Sunday saw as much as 361 mm rains in parts of the city.
