French President Macron Calls to Wish PM Modi on LS Polls Success
Quoting the spokesperson of France’s Ministry of Europe and Foreign Ministry, ANI reported French President Emmanuel Macron as having called PM modi to congratulate on his second term.
“President of French Republic, Mr Emmanuel Macron, called the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, to congratulate him. France and India have a steadfast partnership. We will continue to work together to consolidate the security of our nations,secure stability in the world, and promote sustainable development as well as exchanges between our youth,” ANI reported the spokesperson as saying.
US Plans Rollback of Transgender Healthcare Protections
US President Donald Trump's administration announced plans to roll back anti-discrimination protections for transgender people in the healthcare system, provoking an outcry from rights groups.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) proposed removing a provision of the Affordable Care Act introduced by former president Barack Obama in 2016 that defined discrimination on the basis of sex to include gender identity.
