Police Arrest Two Men Who Claimed Credit for Attack on Umar Khalid
The special cell of the Delhi Police on Monday, 20 August, arrested the two men who had released a video on 15 August, claiming they were behind the attack on JNU student Umar Khalid. They will be produced before Patiala House Court on 21 August.

Sharif, Daughter Cannot Leave Pakistan: Imran Khan-led Govt Decides
Jailed former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam will be placed on the Exit Control List, the first meeting of the new Cabinet of Prime Minister Imran Khan decided on Monday, a move that will prevent them from fleeing the country.
Prime Minister Khan chaired the Cabinet meeting, which also discussed economic challenges and austerity measures, among other matters, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said.
He said the Cabinet decided to place Sharif and Maryam on the Exit Control List as part of the government's anti-corruption drive.

Rescue Operations Continue in Karnataka's Kodagu
As many as 67 people have been rescued from the Kallur and Devasur villages in Karnataka's Kodagu district so far by the Indian Navy teams, which have been integrated with the NDRF and the civil administration, reported ANI. Two rescue teams with two Gemini craft have been deployed in Kodagu since 17 August by the Karnataka Naval Area headquarters.
