BJP Govt Announces 100% Subsidy For Haj Pilgrims

Union Minister for Minority affairs Mukhrtar abbas Naqvi said that there will be 100% subsidy on haj pilgrimage.

“This year, Haj has been announced a month earlier than the previous year. Haj 2019 is going to be 100 percent subsidy free.The procedure to fill application for Haj 2019 will begin from 18 October and it will continue till 17 November, ” he said.

Former Jharkhand Minister Devdayal Kushwaha Passes Away

Former Jharkhand minister Devdayal Kushwaha passed away on Wednesday, family sources said.

Kushwaha was 82 and is survived by wife and son, the sources said.

He was unwell for the last one month.

Kushwaha won on BJP ticket from Hazaribagh Assembly constituency in 1990, 1995 and 2000 and became a cabinet minister in the erstwhile Babulal Marandi and Arjun Munda governments.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das condoled the death of Kushwaha.

Will Attend Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Red Fort on 21 Oct: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join a flag-hoisting ceremony at Red Fort on 21 October to mark the 75th anniversary of the 'Azad Hind government' headed by Subhas Chandra Bose, he announced Wednesday.

Modi stated this in a video interaction with Bharatiya Janata Party workers during which he spoke at length about his government's works to celebrate the contributions of many personalities who, he said, were neglected by the Congress in its rule of several decades.

Pakistan Has Emerged Stronger from "Tribulations": Army Chief Bajwa

Pakistan has emerged stronger from the "tribulations" though the fight against terrorism "is still on", Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has told Italian military leaders.

Gen Bajwa, who was in Rome on a visit, called on Italian Defence Minister, Dr. Elisabetta Trenta, Chief of Italian Army Lt Gen Salvatore Farina and other senior military officials, the Inter Services Public Relations, the media wing of the army said Wednesday.
