How would you feel if your exams were postponed to the day you are scheduled to get married? That’s what happened to HR Shwetha, a final year student of Government First Grade College of Hassan in Karnataka, according to The Times of India.

Shwetha, who got engaged on 6 May this year was set to get married on Sunday, 18 November. However, her exams clashed with the recently held by-elections in Mandya and it was rescheduled on 18 November.

Shwetha got married on Sunday between 7.45-8.45 am and then directly rushed to the exam centre. Meanwhile, her husband waited outside the centre to complete the exam and took her back for the celebrations.

Speaking to The Times of India, Shwetha said that she had the support of her parents and in-laws and wants to pass with distinction.

“I studied properly for the exam and don't want to miss this opportunity. My parents and in-laws too agreed for this. Never thought that exam will be scheduled on the day of my marriage. It is new experience and I hope to pass it with distinction,” she told TOI.
