Ahead of the International Yoga Day 2018 on Thursday, 21 June, Indian diplomatic missions across the globe are sharing images of people performing yoga in their host countries. However, in this pressure of following up with the social media trend, the Indian High Commission in Kenya shared a ridiculously photoshopped image on Twitter.

“At the most sacred spot in Kenya: the Indian community of Nyeri celebrated the 4th #IYD2018 at the foot of #MtKenya yesterday,” read the tweet by @IndiainKenya as they shared photos of people performing yoga.

But if you look closely, or don’t, it is clear that the image is a poorly done photoshop job, with different backgrounds, levitating yoga mats and even someone’s house.

The High Commission spotted the error and removed the tweet. India in Kenya also put out an apology and said that the image was “was sent to us by a community member.”

The damage control was quick, but not quick enough, and tweeples were quick to spot the gaffe.
