Praveen Pardeshi, Principal Secretary of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, brought his outdated passport while they were boarding a flight to New York on Monday, according to a IBNLive report.
Normally, a passenger would miss his/her flight in this situation. But this Air India flight’s passengers were made to wait for 50 min as the IAS officer awaited his updated passport to be delivered to him.
The flight - AI 191 - was supposed to depart around 1:30 am but took off close to 2:30 am.
The Chief Minister was going on an official trip to the US and Pardeshi was a part of his delegation.
