A Delhi Government report has confirmed that Keya restaurant forcibly stopped differently-abled Nipun Malhotra. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia had ordered an inquiry into the incident which happened on 6th March.
The Delhi Government’s inquiry has confirmed discrimination. A Delhi Government official says “Facts have emerged during investigation, it is clear that an argument had taken place that night and was found that the wheelchair was forcibly stopped”.
Nipun suffers from arthrogryposis which means he is not able to move his arms and legs and is bound to a wheelchair.
Speaking to ANI, a Keya representative had said that Nipun and his friends were denied entry because the restaurant could not take in more stags, especially as it was Holi and people were coming in drunk.
