R Bala drew another cartoon after he, along with journalist Bharati Thamilan and Azadullah, were slapped with an FIR by the police for staging a protest on 6 November.
The case has been filed under Tamil Nadu Open Places Prevention of Disfigurement Act, 1959, and the Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867, against press members for erecting banners and 'obstructing pavements and causing inconvenience to pedestrians'.
Now, the cartoonist and journalists are protesting the FIR and also condemning his initial arrest a month ago.
This was the cartoon that Bala had drawn on Tuesday which led to the FIR.
