Other than the holidays mentioned in the table, banks such as public, private, foreign, cooperative, regional rural and local banks are to be closed on second and fourth Saturdays of the month and every Sunday. Bank holidays differ from one bank/one city to another which are decided by Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
On 1 November and 7 November banks will remain shut in cities like Bengaluru and Shillong due to Kannada Rajyostsava/Kut and Wangala Festival. In cities like Guwahati and Ahmedabad banks will be non-operational on 30 and 31 October on account of Ningol Chakkouba and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthday respectively, according to RBI.
