Army Man Held in Hyderabad for Drunkenly Opening Fire in Market  

Yadav, who has been in the Army for 13 years, opened fire in the air last week after getting intoxicated.

  • An army personnel allegedly consumed alcohol and opened fire in the air at Machabollaram market in Hyderabad last week and was arrested on Monday, police said.

  • Lamba Nandeeshwar Yadav is a Lance Naik at 332 Medium Regiment at Ranchi and a resident of Bollaram, a suburb of Hyderabad. He was on holiday in Hyderabad and the incident happened after he got intoxicated at his son’s first birthday celebrations in the city on 11 August, according to a release by Cyebrabad Police.

  • Police has warned persons who illegally possess arms to surrender them and asked licensed arms holders to not violate license conditions.
