Frankfurt, Sep 21 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on way to the US for a week-long visit, made a brief stopover in Frankfurt before his plane left for Houston.
Air India One made a two-hour technical halt in Frankfurt, Germany, early morning on Saturday. The Prime Minister was received by Indian Ambassador to Germany, Mukta Tomar and Consul General Pratibha Parkar. The plane then left for its onward journey to Houston.
After he arrives in Houston, the Prime Minister will head straight for a round table meeting with the oil sector CEOs, and later for a brief interaction and a photo-op with the Indian diaspora, according to his itinerary for the day.
Meanwhile, in Houston a car rally was organised ahead of the 'Howdy-Modi' event to be held on Sunday before a 50,000 crowd of Indian diaspora. The event will also be attended by US President Donald Trump.
