An employee of a leading watch retailer landed on the intervening night of 11 and 12 December in Mumbai's Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport with two Swiss premium wristwatches in his possession.

He cleared the green channel at the airport. However a physical search revealed the watches. The man was thereby arrested for trying to smuggle them.

According to The Indian Express, the two wristwatches belong to "a premium watchmaker" called Audemars Piguet and are worth Rs 52.97 lakh.
