After 17 days of unrest in the Valley, curfew has been lifted from all parts of Kashmir, except Anantnag town in the valley. The state has over the past weeks witnessed increased violence in which 47 persons have been killed and 5,500 others injured in clashes following killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.

The official added that there is no curfew or restrictions on the movement of the people in the Srinagar district.
However, in other parts of the Valley, restrictions on the assembly of four or more people continue to be in place. Curfew was first imposed across Kashmir on 9 July, a day after the killing of Wani, as a precautionary measure.
Mobile Internet Service Resumes in Jammu, Kashmir Still Faces Disruption
Mobile internet services were restored in Jammu region after 16 days, however, mobile telephone, mobile Internet services and train services remained suspended for 18th day across Kashmir.
The divisional administration reviewed the suspension of mobile Internet services in the Jammu region on Monday and it was decided to restore the same from midnight.A senior police officer said in Jammu
Mobile internet services had been suspended on 10 July in the entire Jammu region following unrest in Kashmir Valley.
Limited calling facilities remain available on post-paid mobile phones provided by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in the Valley, while no mobile internet facility is available on these phones.
Internet services are working in the valley on fixed landline connections provided by the BSNL.
