14 Foetuses Recovered From The Street In Jharkhand

12 were recovered on Monday, and 2 were recovered on Sunday.

At least 14 human foetuses were recovered from the roadside in Jharkhand's Deoghar district in a span of two days, police said on 25 April.

Twelve foetuses were recovered in a sack on 24 April, near bushes by the road at Dumarthar village, a day after police recovered two foetuses from the same spot, police said.

A majority of the foetuses were female. Police suspect the role of nursing homes.

There could be two reasons. One, a case of female foeticide as majority of foetuses are of girls or illegal abortion of babies as two of the foetuses were male. The role of private hospitals cannot be ruled out
