Haryana CM Khattar to Control CID, 23 IAS Officers in Major Reshuffle

The tug-of-war between Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Home Minister Anil Vij over the control of the CID in Haryana on Wednesday night took an unexpected turn, with the Home Minister being divested of the charge of the crucial department, which will now be handled by the CM.

In a major administrative reshuffle, the Haryana government on Wednesday issued the transfer and posting orders of 23 IAS officers with immediate effect.

AP Legislative Council Refers Bills on Three Capitals to Select Committee

In a setback to the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, the opposition TDP-dominated Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council on Wednesday decided to refer to a select committee two Bills aimed at creating three capitals for the state.

After five-hour long acrimonious debate and noisy scenes over rules and procedural issues followed by pandemonium, the 58-member Upper House, where the ruling party has only nine members, resolved to refer the Bills to the select committee as demanded by the Telugu Desam Party.
