A woman in Moradabad was strangled and burnt alive by her own family members who were against her love marriage. Reportedly, Gulabshan had married a man two years ago against her family’s wishes. The family had also filed an FIR against the groom and her in-laws but after her statement in favour of her in-laws, the case was closed. Ever since, her family had been harassing against her.
After two years, eight of her family members allegedly came to her house when others weren’t present. They strangled her first, later spilled kerosene over her and lit her on fire. An FIR has been logged against eight of her relatives who were allegedly the ones involved in the crime. Local police say the investigation is ongoing.
