Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s week-long India visit appears to have started on a rather bumpy note – including the cold welcome he’s been accorded over concerns that his government enables pro-Khalistani elements. While the PM is having some trouble breaking the ice, another Trudeau has effortlessly won over desi hearts.
Meet 3-year-old Hadrien, the youngest son of the Canadian PM.
What About Desi Celeb Kids?
While Hadrien is adorable, the million dollar question is this – where is Taimur Ali Khan? Ever since the Trudeau family arrived in India, the nation has been deprived of news about what Taimur ate for breakfast. Where did he spend his day? What colour t-shirt did he wear for his play date? Did he find that toy he lost that day?
It’s not just Taimur. A quick Google search on Ziva Dhoni will show you that the last time she was in the news was on 9 February, when she was celebrating her birthday with her mother and grandmother in Dehradun. It’s been ten days, and we haven’t had been given any updates since. Is this acceptable?
All this is essential information that we require on a daily basis. And so, may we humbly request the TV media, the guardians of our collective morality, to anchor a 9 PM debate on this?
Kids are the building blocks of a nation, and the media can not simply abandon Ziva, Taimur, Aaradhya and Misha – even briefly, as such a distraction could reflect poorly on us in the international media.
So here’s hoping that we get back on track and take a long, hard look at our priorities. Because there’s so much going on in the country, and we must be adequately informed about the private lives of babies.
