I am very active on Instagram. Like very active.
Do I wake up and reach for my phone to check Instagram? Maybe.
More than that, I am constantly trying to get new followers. Because it’s the shizz. And you must know that I put in a lot of effort.
I post sensible content and there’s a lot of hard work that goes into making my Insta a strong family of 1,400 followers. Don’t laugh.
I legit put in time to think about the caption for my images, plan my posts, my stories, go live on Instagram and make sure I am not making a fool out of myself. Not just that, once or twice when my followers interact with me, I happily reply. Loyalty is appreciated. Loyalty is what makes you strong on Instagram because, I kid you not, I have more unfollowers than followers.
But I chanced upon a few Instagram handles that just made me feel so miserable because they have loyal fans for very little or no effort (at least that’s what it seems like).
Like @_punjabi_girl_reaction – this handle is true to its name. Their entire page is filled with TikTok videos in Punjabi made by different users and it’s followed by over 50,000 people. If this can’t convince you to make TikTok videos to up your Insta game, I don’t know what will.
Also, let’s appreciate the person who sits and compiles and filters which TikTok video should go as a post. The admin sure knows their audience and I want that level of understanding with my followers too.
And after going through this page, I was instantly questioning if Insta posts even need captions? All they have here is hashtags – lots of them. Also, I’m trying to figure why people follow this page? TikTok you think?
You think my TikTok videos could attract followers? I reckon, no.
When I came across this next handle on Instagram, I really thought it was a foodie account. But no... Instagram pe kuch bhi ho sakta hai.
@flavours_of_patna is a legit ‘shoutout page’ where you have to DM your HD pictures and then wait for your turn. What’s its USP? Please tell me in the comments section after you check out the account for yourself.
Are they trying to be Humans of Bombay minus the text? Maybe.
Maybe I can send them an HD picture? But I really don’t think I have THAT swag.
I guess abusing anything and everyone can be an easy claim to fame.
Bablu Fhatak aka @hindustanibhau on Instagram went viral after he made a video on YouTube. Full of abuses, after his video went viral, he started an Instagram page. All he does is rant and abuse, but he has gained over three lakh followers. Not just that, he’s also employing his family members now – check out his bio.
Is no one is looking for quality content? I think so. Or else I would have three lakh followers too, who knows?
I follow a lot of meme pages. When I say a lot, I mean a lot. Out of the 200 odd accounts I follow, about 70 are all about memes. But this next one caught my eye like no other, and not for their ‘funny memes’.
@gujju_chu_ is somehow flooded with baby pictures captioned by a ‘Pure Kathiyawadi’. I’m thinking people probably follow this page for the baby pictures because the memes are...errr...dad joke level funny.
But if people like weird humour, I should already have 60k followers like this Gujju meme page? I am the queen of weird humour.
I was shook when I saw this next Instagram account.
@haryana__lovers has over 60,000 and for what joy? I don’t know. But watch this video, I don’t think I will ever have that confidence! Do I want to sit and chat with the admin of this page? Hell yeah.
Their bio tells me they are open to collab. Okay, bye!
And the last one on my list is my ultimate goal on Instagram (only follower count wise).
I request you to check out @call_me_karvachiiiiiiii___ and take a look at the bio closely. I bet your creativity is not even close to what this woman has. I don’t know who she is and how she got so popular? But all I want is that...
