First daughter Ivanka has been a prominent face throughout the Trump campaign and now she will be holding office right above Trump’s in the White House, although she won’t hold any title or draw a salary.

This new decision is unlike her decision to play a supportive daughter to her President father. During the campaign period she had said:

I’m going to be a daughter. But I am very passionate about certain issues and I wanna fight for them.

Her post will be an “unofficial position”, but her working closing in all matters of policies make it all the more official. She said:

I will continue to offer my father my candid advice and counsel as I have for my entire life. I will voluntarily follow all of the ethics rules placed on government employees.

Ivanka holding office raises questions on the possible conflict of interest. Although she stepped down from her post at her fashion and jewellery brand but she still owns the company.

Recently, both Donald Trump and Kellyanne Conway spoke about how Ivanka’s brand reiterated questions on conflict of interest. The Trump family has been involved in blatant nepotism by appointing their family members into the White House.
