Every year you read about it, see the pictures, celebrate a little when your favourites win and when it finally airs on TV, there’s nothing that can stop you from watching it. Such is the magic of India’s biggest awards night and this year, things only got bigger and grander as Jio partners with the iconic awards. Welcome to the Jio Filmfare Awards 2017!
When the best in entertainment and best in digital come together there is bound to be a revolution in the way in which content reaches the audience, and it did happen. For the first time, the red carpet of the awards night was broadcast live on Jio and millions got a first-hand view of all the fun and magic that unravelled on the big day. We got an exclusive preview of what our favourite stars wore and spoke and didn’t have to wait for the ceremony to be aired on TV. And the best part was that all this was available on our phones. Without even you realising, Jio took you a step closer to your favourite stars and mind you, this was just the beginning.
In a video message announcing this association, chairperson of Reliance Foundation Ms Nita Ambani said that Jio, with its suite of apps, is committed to providing Indians a digital way of life. Their partnership with Filmfare is testimony to this. When, before this, did you have access to the Filmfare red carpet as it happened? Given the increasingly digital world we are living in, the coming together of Jio and Filmfare is nothing short of landmark.
