Kapoor’s bilingual performance urges people to slow down their cars when they pass that road “where love is sold” and smile at those women in “shiny saris and make-up so wild” to show that you care.
In his post, Kapoor, who is also the co-founder of Ketto, an online crowdfunding platform and website in India for fundraising, for social, charity, movies, music, personal and creative causes, urges people to donate for this cause.
The video has already received support from Hrithik Roshan, Shruti Seth and Dia Mirza.
In 2016 alone, almost 20,000 women and children were victims of human trafficking in India, according to the government data. Let’s take a moment to think about them. And for God’s sake, let’s not rob them of their dignity by calling them dirty names anymore.
