Salman Khan Speaks on Shashi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna’s Demise
Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is in Delhi with other actors -- Sonakshi Sinha, Prabhu Deva and Kriti Sanon -- for "Dabangg-The Tour", says he never thought veteran actors like Vinod Khanna and Shashi Kapoor, will "ever leave us alone".
In the light of Dabangg 3 releasing in March next year, which also had Vinod Khanna essaying the role of his father in the earlier instalments of Dabangg, his passing away this year and Shashi Kapoor breathing his last earlier this week, Salman expressed his sadness here on Saturday at a press conference.
“It is really sad... When VK (Vinod Khanna) sir’s health became bad and we lost him... It is a great loss to the film industry and to his family and now Shashi uncle too is gone. Which is really sad... We never thought that the heroes we worshipped, could ever leave us alone.”Salman Khan
"But still when we see their films and photographs... they are still there between us and I believe they are immortal. I still can't fathom the fact that VK sir is gone. I believe he is still there amongst us," Salman said.
Speaking on the challenges the tour which has till now travelled to foreign shores like Auckland, London, Australia and Hong Kong faced as it has a number of Bollywood stars on board, Salman says it's the task of "organising the dates from everyone" which is "a huge challenge".
“Everyone is really busy so, bringing everyone together on a particular date is a huge task. Also, no matter how successful you are, there is still this fear that of making the auditorium this full and bringing the stadium to be packed,” he said.
The press conference was attended by the organisers of the tour including Sohail Khan and other actors like Manish Paul, Daisy Shah and music composers-singers Meet Bros.

Dhhai Kilo Prem Actor Meherzan Loses Weight, Check Out His Pics
Guess who’s just lost a lot of weight in the entertainment industry recently? Actor Meherzan Mazda who shot to fame for playing the overweight Piyush in the TV show Dhhai Kilo Prem has already lost 8 kilos in a month and is planning to shed another 8 kilos soon.
According to reports, Meherzan had gained 16-20 kilos to play the lead role in Dhhai Kilo Prem, a romance drama which also dealt with obesity and body shaming. Meherzan has been regularly visiting the gym and updating his Instagram with pictures of his weight loss.

Vishal Bhardwaj’s Unfiltered Melody Was Magical On ‘MTV Unplugged’
The TV set in my house is more of a casting device used to stream the web wonderland on its large screen. It only comes to life with the sights and sounds of web series. Last night was a rare Saturday night when I turned to actual television - cable and all for the premiere of MTV Unplugged India Season 7. And I am glad I did. The silken voice of filmmaker and music director, Vishal Bhardwaj debuting the season, was just what the doctor ordered after a weary week.
With song remakes and smog laden days ruling the roost, this year, the acoustic unplugged format of the show is a joyous reminder of all things unadulterated. Bhardwaj or let’s just fondly call him VB, hit the right note when he reminded the audience of what acoustic means - ‘Nothing is electric. It’s all pure,’ and proceeded to sing the songs ‘he grew up with’.
As he kickstarted the episode with the Maachis song, Paani Paani Re, he took up the baton from Lata Mangeshkar. In his voice, the song acquired a powerful intimacy. With the melancholy intact, his smile imbued it with rich layers. The un-stagy set without the unnecessary accessory of a host not only broke the barriers between the singer and the live audience but also the TV darshak.
It was like meeting the artist in the sacrosanct space of his art - perhaps the most profound exchange, where the former bares his craft and the audience obliges with mindful attention as the piece rises to a crescendo. An untrained listener, like me, is seldom able to hear a composition and appreciate every instrument that went into weaving its tapestry. VB gently directed the viewers’ attention to these instruments.
