Abhijeet Bhattacharya has lately been in the news for all the wrong reasons. And he is back again, this time with yet another case filed against him for making obscene and lewd comments against Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson, Preeti Sharma Menon on Twitter.
The AAP’s leader’s complaint was registered by BKC Complex cyber police. According to The Times of India report, the singer turned abusive against several women on Twitter, including her, when they objected to his abusive post against Delhi-based journalist Swati Chaturvedi last month.
Abhijeet replied to her tweet calling her a “coward” and accused her of “abusing the Indian Army.”
A case under the IPC sections 500 (defamation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult modesty of a woman) and the IT Act section 67 (publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic) has been registered.
