After premiering with actors Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt gracing the Koffee couch, Koffee With Karan is set to feature the other half of #DeepVeer. Deepika’s fiance Ranveer Singh will accompany Akshay Kumar on the upcoming episode of KWK. While the pairing may seem odd, it looks like they’re out to surprise us with their crazy chemistry.
While Akshay is dressed in camouflage pants and a sweatshirt, Ranveer had to be ‘extra’ and dons an animal-print jacket and waistcoat sans any shirt. While K’Jo got Deepika to all but admit that wedding bells were around the corner—the couple made an official wedding announcement the same day the episode aired—it looks like in this episode, we might just get some additional deets on the big day from Ranveer too.
Ranveer’s previous appearances on the show seem, well, demure, compared to what the promos promise this time. Perhaps it’s all the excitement of finally marrying the Mastani to his Bajirao.
“Tum theek toh ho? (Are you okay?),” asks Akshay. That doesn’t stop Ranveer from laying on the drama thick.
“Iss insaan ke saath rehana (to live with this man)... hats off to Deepika!” exclaims Akshay. We think Ranveer will definitely reveal Akshay’s whacky side by the end of the episode though. The two seem to have a ball joining K’Jo in a performance of various Bollywood hook steps from the ‘90s.
Both actors will be seen in upcoming Karan Johar productions. Ranveer stars in Simmba and Takht and Akshay in Kesari and Good News.
Koffee With Karan Season 6 will air on 28 October at 9pm on Star World.
