Ranveer Singh Turns Cop for Karan Johar & Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’

After much speculation, it’s finally official - Ranveer Singh is now part of a Dharma Productions project that will be directed by Rohit Shetty. The film titled Simmba, features Ranveer as a cop in the title role.

Simmba is being co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Rohit Shetty’s RS Picturez and Reliance Entertainment. The film has already got a release date, which is 28 December 2018. By the looks of the poster, Ranveer’s name seems to be Sangram Bhalerao, a police officer, who goes by the nickname of Simmba.

Is this going to be Singham lite?

Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh tweeted out the poster of Simmba on Thursday morning, officially making the announcement:
