T-Series Receives Guiness Record for Reaching 100 Mn Subscribers

Music label T-Series recently capped the milestone of reaching one million subscribers on YouTube. T-Series’ chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar was presented the official Guinness World Records certificate for being the ‘First YouTube Channel to surpass 100 million subscribers’ on the popular video sharing platform. Bhushan received the honour at a function in Mumbai on Friday 14 June from Rishi Nath, an official adjudicator of the Guinness World Records.


T-Series has become a dominant player in the Indian entertainment industry in the last 20 years highly successful films and music. The T-Series YouTube Channel was founded in January 2011. It has 29 sub-channels and has been the most viewed channel for the last one-and-half years. Now it also has the largest subscriber base in the world.

T-Series has had an exceptional run in global markets with films like Aashiqui 2, Hindi Medium, Tumhari Sulu, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, amongst others.

The label has close to 18 releases in 2019 and several under production for 2020. These titles include collaborations with a variety of big names. Bharat, De De Pyaar De, Saaho, Street Dancer, Kabir Singh, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Batla House, and Marjaavaan are some of them.
