Katrina Kaif’s life-like wax statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds, London on Saturday. The Tussauds official Twitter handle made an early announcement about the big event.
The actress was also present at the unveiling and said,“This is amazing it does look really like me.” Katrina joins a host of other Bollywood stars who have been immortalised in wax at Tussauds, these include Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit-Nene.
Katrina’s statue poses with a dance move and wearing a costume and jewelry donated by the actress herself to the museum.
Katrina reportedly won a poll conducted by Madame Tussauds, when it threw open the choice of which Bollywood actress should be waxed next at the museum. The actress apparently raced past other contendors, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone in the online poll. Katrina’s dancing wax statue was created by a team of 20 sculptors and artists over a four-month period and cost 150,000 pounds.
