Bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan it seems might soon be appearing in a Tamil film. According to reports, the Zero actor recently flew down to Chennai and met Tamil filmmaker Atlee. During the meeting, Atlee narrated a script to SRK, which the latter loved and agreed to be a part of. After joining hands, the two left for the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai to watch the ongoing IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Shah Rukh Khan even tweeted a selfie while departing from the Chennai airport.
Director Atlee is known for many blockbusters like Mersal, Theri, and Raja Rani.
Earlier, there were some rumours going around about the collaboration between Atlee and SRK which said that the film would be a remake of Mersal. However, there is no official word on that.
As one of the most popular directors of Tamil cinema industry, Atlee is currently filming an untitled project that revolves around sports with Tamil actor Vijay in the lead. So he won’t actually get to shooting the SRK film until late 2019. Pre-production for the film is expected to begin in November-December 2019.
Recently, rumours were swirling that Shah Rukh Khan had dropped out of Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 and Ranveer Singh had replaced him in the sequel. However, Zoya Akhtar has rubbished the story calling it ‘absolutely nonsense.
