Yay or Nay? Twitterati React to Netflix’s ‘Sacred Games’

Love it or hate it, but you can’t ignore Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte’s ‘Sacred Games’.

Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane’s Netflix Indian original series Sacred Games has become the talk of the town. While it’s getting some great reviews, some of the responses have been not so enthusiastic as well.

While some think it’s Saif Ali Khan’s best performance, others think it’s a wannabe criminal series with low production quality. But good, bad, ugly or absolutely hilarious - everybody has an opinion about Sacred Games. This is how Twitterati reacted to the Netflix show.

You'll watch Sacred Games (2018) sooner or later. Undoubtedly the finest 'desi' thing out there on Netflix. Brilliant adaptation. Strong performances. Unabashed dialogues that'll make you think. Not a boring moment in any of the 8 episodes.

The only downside was the low volume.

To burst the hype, I found @NetflixIndia's #SacredGames tacky, boring. Like a low cost version of an old Anurag Kashyap movie trying too hard. Oh wait, it was directed by... well, anyway. The script is a failed Satya copy. Random abuse was last impressive in 1999.

Sacred Games will be appealing to those who haven’t watched much of the US & foreign shows. After watching a few episodes, I find it to be a ‘Wannabe crime show’ with sex, abuses & cussing just for the sake of it. Loose points in the script too, though Nawazuddin is outstanding

I watched two episodes of Sacred Games, then my wife told me to hold on as she'll watch the first two and then we can watch the rest together.

Now she says she couldn't stop and has finished the show. I am still stuck at two.
