Two more days and the Global Citizen concert-goers will finally witness Coldplay in Mumbai’s MMRDA grounds.

Frontman Chris Martin arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday and the rest of the members will follow soon. Martin has flown in to make sure the planning of the event is in place.

Also, those who couldn’t get their hands on the tickets, do not be disheartened. We suggest you subscribe to Snapchat, Instagram and other social media accounts of almost every Bollywood celeb. Reason: They all will be present in the front rows so you get the best view on your screens.

Did you ever hear of the 'Global Citizen' campaign before Coldplay decided to come to Mumbai to Fix You all by crooning their hit numbers? Especially, when free tickets to their concert on 19 November were involved? We guess not.

The heartbreak over the exorbitant concert ticket price was mended with a simple solution of raising awareness on a number of issues, especially poverty. The steps included signing up for the movement by 8 November, picking initiatives like clean India and gender equality, tweeting about it and accumulating points. This could be your gateway to a free ticket. You could also start a fundraiser.

On Board, Yet?

Over the years, your school's social lessons must’ve failed to get you to do your part. But now, it is being accomplished on a massive scale by a messiah named Chris Martin, Coldplay frontman, who is also the ambassador of the Global Citizen initiative.

Maybe the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan wasn't fancy enough to get you sweeping and hashtagging.

But who/what exactly is Global Citizen? Let's describe it as a global movement working towards issues currently plaguing our planet through small active actions.

Global Citizen India, on their website, mentions that around 7.5 million actions have been undertaken so far to rid the world of problems related to education, gender equality, water and sanitation, health, environment, food and hunger, among other concerns.
