Ahead of the release of Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30, which releases on 12 July, the CBFC has asked the filmmakers to drop the ‘Ramayana’ reference from the film.

According to the official Central Board of Film Certificate (CBFC) website, the words ‘Ramayana mein’ were replaced with ‘Raj Puran mein’ in a particular dialogue of the film. The film has been granted a U-certification by the board.

The CBFC also asked the filmmakers to remove two specific shots from the song ‘Paisa.’

The film, based on revolutionary educationist and mathematician Anand Kumar's life, has had a total of four modifications.

The CBFC also asked the filmmakers to remove two specific shots from the song ‘Paisa.’ In one shot, a politician is seen holding a dancer and in another, the politician makes physical contact with the dancer. Both these shots have been chopped out of the song and replaced with regular dancing shots.

The song is composed by Ajay-Atul and the lyrics are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The track follows Hrithik’s character as he climbs the ladder of success as a tuition teacher in IIT coaching classes. The song gives us a peek into the dizzying spell money and fame has on Hrithik, since he comes from underprivileged background.

‘Super 30’ is directed by Vikas Bahl.

Further, a 10-second Hindi disclaimer has been added, along with an anti-liquor disclaimer.

Super 30 is 154 minutes long. It is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar who launched the Super 30 programme in Patna in 2002, which prepares underprivileged students for IIT-JEE, the entrance examination for the Indian Institutes of Technology.

Super 30 is directed by Vikas Bahl, who was accused during #MeToo but has been given a clean chit now.

Soon after the launch of the trailer, Hrithik Roshan received flak for his brownface look in the film.
