Christopher Nolan, Dimple Kapadia Shoot ‘Tenet’ in Mumbai in Sept
Earlier, the news of Bollywood’s very own Dimple Kapadia joining the cast of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet left everyone ecstatic. Now there’s more as reports have confirmed that Christopher Nolan will be visiting Mumbai in September to shoot some parts of Tenet with Dimple Kapadia.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Christopher Nolan and team will be shooting in South Mumbai during the month of September. They will be filming around the areas of Gateway of India, the Taj and Colaba.
On the recce, Christopher Nolan was accompanied by cinematographer, Hoyte Van Hoytema and production designer Nathan Crowley.
The movie has been described as an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.
Tenet is being filmed in seven countries, and one of the locations is India. Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are producing while Thomas Hayslip is serving as executive producer. Tenet has a release date of July 17, 2020.
According to sources, when Nolan was in India, he arranged for a private line-reading session with Dimple Kapadia which pleased him and he decided to sign her up for the film then.
Nolan is known to be quite secretive about his scripts and so even the scene given to audition for the actors is not from the film. In addition to this, directors and casting agents in the West prefer to have audition tapes of actors when casting for a film. The team of Tenet saw footage of Dimple’s previous work and came to a consensus that she was the right person for the part.
