Arjun Reddy Star Vijay Deverakonda Wants to See Remake With Shahid

Vijay Deverakonda, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ star speaks candidly about the Bollywood remake starring Shahid Kapoor.

After winning hearts of its Telugu audience, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga confirmed that Arjun Reddy will be remade in Bollywood. He also confirmed that Shahid Kapoor will be headlining the project. Actor Vijay Deverakonda, who starred in Arjun Reddy, spoke to TOI about the venture.

“Both the Hindi and Tamil version, I am really looking forward to seeing them because it is really cool to see what an actor will do with the same content. I want to see how they did things differently and how they read into the same scenes that I did. As an actor, it will be really interesting to see and the Hindi film is directed by the same director Sandeep.”

Initially, Vijay Deverakonda hadn’t expected that Arjun Reddy would be such a hit at the box office.

“We knew that we made a good film that we enjoy and we knew that people like us will love the movie. However we didn’t imagine that it will work so well at the box office.”

Arjun Reddy’s director Sandeep Reddy Vanga would directing the Hindi version. This project will be produced by Murad Khetani and Ashwin Warde.
