Swara Bhasker Exposes Fake WhatsApp Message That Uses Her Name

Swara Bhasker is a favourite target of social media trolls. Recently, she shared an article about a Dalit man being beaten to death for watching Garba in Gujarat. However, realising that the article was two years old, Swara immediately rectified her mistake but continued to express her disappointment.

However, a Twitter user took advantage of this error and posted a screenshot that makes it seem like the actor charged money for putting out this tweet. The display picture on the screenshot is Swara’s.

Known to respond to trolls in the most witty manner, Swara exposed the fake message by saying, “Tacky film ka tacky script and ghatiya photoshop. #Fake.

The Veere Di Wedding actor has been very vocal about lynching. Earlier, she had voiced her support for the open letter written to PM Narendra Modi by 49 eminent personalities including actors and filmmakers. The open letter condemned the rising mob lynching incidents against Dalits and Muslims in the country.

Speaking on the issue, Swara Bhasker said, “Mob lynching has become an epidemic in the country and I don’t think we can turn our face away from this harsh reality. There’s no point in falsifying it.” The actor also added that she has raised her concerns about mob lynching since the past 3-4 years but was sad that things were getting worse instead of improving.
