Irrfan Khan is in the UK since March, undergoing treatment for a rare neuroendocrine tumour. While the industry rallied around wishing the talented actor a speedy recovery, it seems Shah Rukh Khan has done a little more.
According to some media reports, before Irrfan left for the UK, he was keen to meet SRK, who is a good friend of his. As soon as Shah Rukh got a call from Irrfan’s wife Sutapa, he left Mehboob Studios, where he was shooting, to meet the family.
According to India Today, SRK not only spent a couple of hours with the Khans, but surprised Irrfan by giving him the keys to his London house so he would feel at home there. Irrfan and Sutapa were deeply moved and accepted the keys on SRK’s insistence.
Remember that adage, a friend in need is a friend indeed?
