After much speculation, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced their wedding date ie 14 and 15 November. And going by reports, the couple is expected to host separate receptions for friends and family after returning from their destination wedding at Lake Como in Italy.
#DeepVeer, as their fans fondly call them, will reportedly be hosting a grand reception in Mumbai on 1 December at Grand Hyatt. Another close gathering of the family is also expected to happen post their wedding in Bangalore.
The other high-profile wedding in tinsel-town, of desi girl Priyanka Chopra with Nick Jonas is expected to clash with #DeepVeer’s reception. According to a report in Filmfare, Priyanka and Nick will be tying the knot in Jodhpur with 200 guests on 1 December.
#NickYanka made their relationship official with a roka ceremony in Mumbai on 18 August. While we are yet to find out more details about the D-Day, it seems their wedding dates might clash with one of #DeepVeer’s reception. Priyanka will also host a bridal shower in New York ahead of the ceremony.
"The wedding will take place on November 30 and the three-day long functions include a sangeet ceremony on November 29 and a reception on December 1. They have invited a select guest list of 110 people including relatives and close friends," a source told Hindustan Times.
The source added that with Umaid Bhawan palace as the wedding venue, the sangeet ceremony and the bachelor's night will be held at the Mehrangarh Fort.
“Both Priyanka and Nick will be dressed in Indian designer outfits for their D-Day and they have already started meeting the designers. Nick might wear a Manish Malhotra design,” the source revealed.
November and December are sure going to be busy months for #Nickyanka, #DeepVeer and their guests!
