After two MET gala looks that dazzled everyone, Priyanka is now all set to make her red carpet debut at Cannes International Film Festival 2019. In fact, she has been dropping hints on her Instagram by posting monochrome photos of iconic Cannes red carpet looks.
On Thursday, Priyanka shared pictures of three iconic women - Princess Diana, Italian actor Sophie Loren, and Grace Kelly. PeeCee’s throwback to Grace Kelly’s jaw-dropping Cannes look from 1955 and Princess Diana’s chiffon blue gown look from 1987 has us all wondering - is Priyanka going to recreate either of these iconic looks? Or is she hinting at a completely retro outfit for the red carpet?
Priyanka Chopra Jonas flew out of New York on 14 May for the Cannes International Film Festival 2019. The actor, who is all set make her Cannes red carpet debut, will be attending a film screening at the festival.
Chopra will be there to lend her support to the documentary 5B, an inspirational story of the people behind the first HIV/AIDS ward unit in the US, which is premiering at Cannes.
On 14 May, the American paparazzi had clicked Priyanka leaving her New York apartment, with a suitcase in tow, making everyone wonder where she was headed to.
According to a report in Deadline.com, Priyanka will be walking the red carpet on 16 May.
“The film (5B) premieres in Cannes as a special screening on May 16 with such supporters as Julianne Moore, Miles Teller, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and others on hand, alongside co-director Dan Krauss and the original Ward 5B nurses and more folks featured in the doc,” says the report.
After a much-talked about and meme-d look at the MET Gala recently, we wonder what look Priyanka will go for at Cannes. What we know for sure is that it will definitely be a lot less camp and over-the-top as she is attending a film screening.
Her regular stylist Mimi Cuttrell is accompanying her and will style her look at Cannes.
Deepika Padukone is also likely to walk the red carpet as the brand ambassador of Loreal on the same day as Priyanka, 16 May.
Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor and Huma Qureshi will also be attending the Cannes Film Festival in the next few days.
