Good news for Om Puri fans - shooting for his last film has been resumed. Om Puri was a part of the cast of Gul Makai, a biopic on the life of Pakistani activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai. Om Puri had also sung a number for the movie whose shooting begun in 2015 but was disrupted due to conflict in the Kashmir Valley.
This is probably the last movie shot for by Om Puri before he passed away on 6 January 2017. The director of the biopic Anand Kumar told Times of India:
Mr Om Puri shot with us in September, 2016. The song that the late actor recorded is fortunately in sync sound, so we don’t need to record it again.Anand Kumar, Director, Gul Makai
