Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt opened up about his daughter Alia Bhatt’s relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. If anyone needed further confirmation about their romance, Alia’s father has given it. “Well, of course they’re in love. You don’t need to be a genius to get that!” he said to Telegraph India.
He further addressed the rumours of marriage floating around. “I love Ranbir… he’s a great guy. What they do to their relationship is something they’ll have to figure out,” he said.
“Whether it’s heading towards that port called ‘marriage’ — which is an institution that needs to be questioned in the second decade of the 21st century — is something for them to figure out. I’m no one to hazard a guess when that would happen or which way the relationship is going. It’s life and life needs to be lived on its own terms. Let’s wait and see what tomorrow brings for us!”Mahesh Bhatt
In an earlier interview with IANS, Mahesh Bhatt said that he was astounded by his actor daughter Alia Bhatt's choices and the variety of movies that she was doing in her immensely successful film career.
Talking about Alia's journey, Mahesh Bhatt said: "I think Alia has made us very proud and she has astounded me in particular. I knew she was talented and she had this obsession of being in the movies. But movie after movie, I am astounded by her choices and the variety of films that she is doing.
"One of the proudest thing that happened to me as the father is that, she is doing all these things on her own and I feel that this is just the beginning for her."
