In a recent interview with DNA, Katrina said that she preferred to have a low-key celebration with friends and family. “I think birthdays are always fun. It’s not such a big deal, honestly. It’s more about the time that you have and an excuse to take a few days off to spend time with your friends and family,” she said.

Bollywood too seems to be envious of Katrina’s plans. Arjun Kapoor commented on one of her posts jokingly saying that it looked like she was on a photoshoot rather than vacation. “Ok on ur birthday I shall be nice Katrina... have a super birthday ur a mad kind goofy soul and I love u because of ur nonsense not despite it,” he wrote.

KJo wished her writing, “Happy birthday ! Will spend all day liking your posts!” Rhea Kapoor and Zoya Akhtar also wished Kat.

Katrina has earned praise for her last two films - Zero and Bharat, in which she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, respectively. In Zero, she played Babita, an actor trying to grapple with the consequences of her fame. Bharat saw her play Kumud, aka Madam-Sir, a government official and Salman’s love interest.

Rohit Shetty’s upcoming cop drama Sooryavanshi reunites Katrina with Akshay Kumar nine years after Tees Maar Khan. The duo recently filmed their recreation of ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’, the popular romantic number from Akshay and Raveena Tandon’s 1994 film Mohra, for the film.
