Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Ranveer Singh.

In an interview with Zoom, Amitabh Bachchan wholeheartedly praised Ranveer Singh’s performance in Gully Boy. Bachchan said that despite watching Gully Boy ten times, he was unable to copy Ranveer Singh and failed miserably at it. He even confessed this to the Gully Boy actor himself.

At a Filmfare press conference held on 12 March, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh responded to this statement by Amitabh Bachchan. The former got nostalgic and spoke about his grandmother. As a child, when Ranveer Singh would sit glued to the television, his grandmother would fondly tell him that one day when he grows up he must become like Amitabh Bachchan. Singh then bestowed the title of ‘GOAT’ on Bachchan. GOAT is a millennial slang which stands for ‘Greatest of all time’.

In February, Singh had also shared a picture of a hand-written note sent to him by the superstar himself.

Amitabh Bachchan was most recently seen in Badla, a crime thriller movie directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is an official remake of a Spanish crime thriller called The Invisible Guest.
