Akshay Kumar has sent his best wishes to the scientists of Chandrayaan 2 via Twitter. Akshay is currently also promoting the release of his upcoming film Mission Mangal based on India’s Mars mission. Mission Mangal features Akshay Kumar along with Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu and Sonakshi Sinha among others.
Since the Project Director and Mission Director of India’s second Moon mission Chandrayaan 2 are women, Akshay’s special message was directed to them.
"India's second space mission to the moon, Chandrayaan-2 is led by two women scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), a first in India's history. Sending my best to the rocket women and ISRO team, more power to you," Akshay tweeted on Sunday.
Chandrayaan 2 is India's most ambitious second lunar mission. It will be launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota on-board the heavy-lift rocket Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle - Mark III (GSLV Mk III), called Baahubali, at 2.51 am on 15 July.

Akshay’s Mission Mangal is scheduled for a release on 15 August. The actor is also currently busy shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi with Katrina Kaif in the lead.
Akshay had earlier tweeted a message celebrating the power of women scientists while publicising Mission Mangal.
