Anupam Kher Bags BAFTA Nomination for ‘The Boy With The Topknot’

Thespian Anupam Kher has earned a BAFTA nomination in the Best Supporting Actor Category for his performance in a BBC TV movie based on the critically acclaimed memoirs of British journalist Sathnam Sanghera -The Boy With The Topknot.

He took to social media to announce the development and thank BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts).

“Thank you Bafta for the nomination. I feel honoured and humbled.”

Anil Kapoor was amongst the first celebs to congratulate him on Twitter.

Line of Duty, Black Mirror and The Crown lead the nominations. The others who share the glory and are nominated alongside Kher comprise Brian F. O'Byrne (Little Boy Blue), Jimmi Simpson- USS Callister (Black Mirror) and Adrian Dunbar (Line Of Duty).

The ceremony is set to be held at the Royal Festival Hall on 13 May. Accolades will be handed out to best television programmes broadcast in the UK in 2017.
