Singer Adnan Sami’s Twitter account has reportedly been hacked by Ayyildiz Tim, the same group that had targeted Amitabh Bachchan’s account on 10 June. In a method similar to the attack carried out on Big B’s Twitter account, the hackers changed Sami’s profile picture to one of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and his bio to “Ayyıldız Tim Love Pakistan”. They also posted pro-Pakistan and pro-Turkey tweets from his account.
“We would be happy to be visit (sic) our brother country Pakistan and have a cup of tea with your esteemed prime minister. This will be a great opportunity to visit your country and meet our brothers. @imrankhanPTI” read one tweet which tagged Imran Khan’s Twitter handle and included a picture of the Turkish and Pakistani flags.
Another tweet that had been posted read: “Your account has been hacked by the Turkish Cyber Army Ayyıldız Tim. Your DM Correspondence and important data have been captured.”
The tweets appear to have been deleted but the modified profile picture and bio remain.
