It was a proud moment for the Kardashian and the Jenner family, as a teary eyed Caitlyn Jenner thanked her family and television journalist Diane Sawyer at the 2015 ESPY Awards.
Caitlyn accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs on Wednesday night while urging acceptance for others who are transgender. She received a standing ovation from some of the sporting world’s biggest stars after her 10 minute speech during the annual awards honouring the year’s top athletes and moments.
The real truth is that before just a few months ago, I had never met anybody else who was trans. Now as you saw, I deal with my situation on my own, in private. It’s been eye-opening, inspiring, but also frightening. They (trans people) deserve your respect and from that respect, comes a more compassionate community, a more empathetic society, and a better world for all of us.

If you want to call me names, make jokes, doubt my intentions, go ahead, because the reality is, I can take it. But for the thousands of kids out there coming to terms with being true to who they are, they shouldn’t have to take it.

While Kendall, Kylie and Brody Jenner walked the red carpet the other Jenner kids were also at the ceremony to support their parent Caitlyn Jenner.
Burt Jenner, Cassandra Marino and Brandon Jenner, as well as daughter-in-law Leah Jenner and step-daughters Kourtney, Kim and Kloe Kardashian where all in black as they posted pics of the family backstage.
