The trailer of the much talked about film, Sui Dhaaga - Made in India starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma was released at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Varun plays a tailor called Mauji in Sui Dhaaga and Anushka plays Mamta, an embroiderer in the film.
Sui Dhaaga – Made in India is a film about finding love and respect through self-reliance. This is the first time the two Bollywood actors have been paired in a film and it will be interesting to see the film once out on the screens. The posters have already piqued the curiosity of the viewers. Helmed and penned by Dum Laga Ke Haisha director Sharat Kataria and bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, Sui Dhaga is based on the ideology of Make In India.
The trailer launch seemed like a fun event as Varun and Anushka along with producer, Maneesh Sharma and director, Sharad Katariya answered pretty much all questions asked. Anushka reacts to being trolled on her photo with the Indian Cricket Team, Varun thinks he was a fantastic actor since birth and Anushka even revealed that she doesn’t get to spend much time with husband Virat Kohli.
Anushka further explains the fact that no make-up doesn’t necessarily mean good acting. She says, "We should stop saying, 'Actor ne make-up nahi lagaya, toh acting achi hogi. (If an actor has not put on makeup, she must have acted well).’”
Varun Dhawan also revealed how he had said no to Sui Dhaga initially. “I had told Adi (Aditya Chopra) Sir and Maneesh (Sharma) that I don't have dates (for Sui Dhaaga) as I have to start shooting for Kalank,” said the star. Eventually he couldn't let go of the opportunity, and here we are the trailer launch today, he further said.
Interestingly, this is the first time we are going to see the two talents - Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan - pair up for a film. And clearly, Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma's chemistry in Sui Dhaaga is to look out for!
Sui Dhaaga - Made in India is set to release on September 28, 2018 in theatres.
