Sooryavanshi Preponed to Avoid Clash With Salman’s Inshallah
After much speculation, Salman Khan starrer Inshallah and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi will not be clashing on Eid 2020, as reported earlier. Salman Khan announced on Twitter on 12 June that Sooryavanshi will now release on 27 March 2020. Thanking Rohit Shetty for the gesture, Salman tweeted a picture of him with Rohit and wrote, “I always thought of him as my younger brother and today he proves it...#RohitShetty. Sooryavanshi releasing on 27th March 2020.”
Eid has always been the time for Salman Khan releases and no one wanted this clash between these mega-budget films. Inshallah will bring back Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman after a gap of eleven years. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was the last collaboration between the two. Alia Bhatt will be seen opposite Salman in the film and while the unusual pairing, due to the huge age difference, attracted a lot of eyeballs, Alia said that there is a reason behind the same.
Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi too will mark the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif after almost a decade, as they were least seen together in De Dana Dan. It will be co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and is the fourth film in Rohit’s cop universe Singham, Singham 2 and Simmba.
Katrina had hinted at the possibility of averting the clash between the two films. "Salman loves Akshay; he loves Rohit. He will always be supportive of me in the work place. So, I don’t think he will let his film clash with Sooryavanshi," the actor had said.
The shoot has started in Bangkok and Akshay had recently posted a photo of himself hanging from a helicopter while Shetty rides alongside him on a bike. “Casually hanging, off a helicopter...just another day on the sets of #Sooryavanshi” he tweeted cautioning fans not to try the stunt on their own.
