Soorma is all set to hit theatres on 13 July but members of film and sports fraternity were invited for a special screening of the movie two days prior to its release.
Sachin Tendulkar with wife Anjali Tendulkar and daughter Sara Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan with wife, actor Sagarika Ghatge, Divya Dutta, Shabana Azmi, Subhash Ghai, Aparshakti Khurrana, Choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, Chitrangda Singh and Angad Bedi who is playing the role of Vikramjeet in the film also watched the film on Wednesday evening.
Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh, the movie is a biopic of hockey legend Sandeep Singh.
The former captain of the Indian national hockey team was paralysed and wheelchair bound for 2 years after an accidental gunshot injured him in 2006. Soorma revolves around Singh’s comeback into the game despite his debilitating injury. The film’s tagline is “The Greatest Comeback Story of the Hockey Legend Sandeep Singh”.
